Suring School District offers a variety of other resources and services. One of our new resources is School Based Mental Health through Oak Ridge Counseling.
What is school based mental health?
School based mental health is an outside provider that is coming into our school and providing therapy within our building to Suring students. Oakridge brings therapist in and operates as any mental health provider would outside of our building, but the benefit of them coming into the school is that students can go right from class to their therapy appointment and then back. This cuts out the travel to and from mental health therapist office by the therapist coming to the student. If you would like more information on this resource, please contact me.
Currently, Suring School has two different therapists from Oakridge, a male and a female, so every child can be comfortable with their therapist.
