The Suring Public School District seeks a qualified candidate to fill a full-time paraprofessional position working with elementary special education and regular education students. Previous experience and/or education in social/emotional development or trauma-sensitive practices are highly desired. An Associate's Degree or credits beyond a high school diploma is preferred.
The Paraprofessional is responsible for, but not limited to:
- Assisting students in the classroom
- Supporting and managing student breaks
- Providing behavior support to students
- Supervising lunch and/or recess
- Assist teacher with classroom preparation
- Implementing teacher-directed academic, social, and behavioral interventions
- Other duties as assigned

- Kitchen Substitutes - Applicant must responsible, organized, communicates well with others and takes direction well. Hours vary, depending on need.
- Paraprofessional Substitutes– Applicant must be prepared to do daily playground supervision.
- Custodian Substitutes - Applicant must be dependable and possess skills for the cleaning and maintenance of a school building.
