You can now safely get rid of your unwanted medications using the Suring Police Department’s medication dropbox. The dropbox is located inside Suring Village Hall and is open Monday-Friday 9:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. Use the dropbox to get rid of expired or unwanted prescriptions and over the counter medicine, including pills and liquids for pets and people from households. To get rid of pills, pour the pills directly into the dropbox, take the bottle with you and throw away somewhere else; if the medication is liquid, make sure the lid is closed tightly and place the container in the dropbox.
Do not drop sharps/needles/syringes in any of the medication drop boxes. To get rid of your sharps, take them to HSHS St. Clare Hospital in Oconto Falls, Oconto Falls Pharmacy, and Oconto Pharmacy; in Lakewood, Nicolet Pharmacy, and Northern Health Centers. Other items that are not accepted: Illegal drugs, mercury, non-medical inhalers, diabetes monitors and supplies, and items from businesses. Remember to Take It To THE BOX
